The reason behind this communication is that we have some exciting information to share with you. As of February 1st, our platform has joined forces with Gut Microbiota for Health, another leading online community dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge about gut microbiota edited by the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM).
This integration gives birth to the largest and most established network of information and debate about gut bacteria, with more than 15,000 members worldwide.
What does this change mean for Gut Microbiota Worldwatch readers?
As of today, you will find our content at a different Internet address (gutmicrobiotaforhealth.com instead of gutmicrobiotawatch.org). Our platform becomes the Gut Microbiota News Watch section within Gut Microbiota for Health.
What will happen with the other address? What if I had that page bookmarked as a favorite on my computer? And what about the existing content?
Our old address will remain available for a few months. However, we strongly recommend you change your bookmark to the new URL so as not to miss any of our updates. All our content published to date will remain available at the new address. We are just moving from our own space to a shared space with the existing Gut Microbiota for Health community.
Will I continue to receive the newsletter?
Of course! Once a month you will continue to receive our newsletter summarising the content published on our blog the previous month. In addition, you have the opportunity to subscribe to the Gut Microbiota for Health Research and Practice newsletter to receive a selection of the most relevant scientific content from the platform in your inbox twice a month.
Is there anything new?
The answer is yes! There is a lot of new content available in the new structure. You can now browse our website according to topics and can also visit two new sections (Resources and Media Centre) which have great gut microbiota pieces including videos, infographics, interviews, etc.
Will the content become more complex?
Not at all! We will continue publishing the same kind of information we have been doing for the last 3 years: descriptions of studies and papers, interviews with experts, book reviews, etc. In addition, if you are a looking for a more complex type of content aimed at a specialist audience, you can check our Research and Practice section. To facilitate recognition of the origin of the content, we have established a colour code. Our content, posted in the Gut Microbiota News Watch section, will be marked in green. The content from the Gut Microbiota Research and Practice section will be marked in blue. And the content shared by both sections will be marked in navy blue.
What about the accuracy of the content?
An excellent question! The accuracy and truthfulness of our platform remains unchanged. We are backed by the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motily and we have a Board of Experts collaborating with us to make sure we propose to our readers the most relevant and accurate content related to gut microbiota. We have more than 25,000 visitors reading our content every month and we want our community to continue to grow!
We are sure you will enjoy our new “home” and we look forward to exchanging information and communicating with you. Last, but not least, our social media platforms remain unchanged! You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google + and now also on LinkedIn. Follow us, share our content and don’t hesitate to let us know if there is any particular topic we should write about.
Thank you for your trust and interest in our content!
