The 9th Gut Microbiota for Health World Summit will take place on March 7 and 8 2020 in Madrid, Spain.
This pre-eminent meeting is sponsored by the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) with the endorsement of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS).
A scientific committee chaired by Professor Harry Sokol of the Gastroenterology Department at Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris (France), has carefully put together an exciting program with the intervention of outstanding international faculty.
The GMFH Summit 2020 targets a large audience, from microbiome scientists to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and nutritionists. The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the new discoveries regarding the role of the gut microbiome in health and disease and how they are or will be translated into clinical practice for the benefit of professionals and patients.
The two-day event includes plenary sessions dedicated to different aspects: dietary and non-dietary factors shaping the gut microbiome; the role of the gut microbiome in the modulation of the immune system; microbiome-drug interactions; and moving microbiome to the clinic.
Workshop sessions will also cover a range of topics with a practical focus. They include fecal microbiome transplant, how the microbiome changes with age, the role of nutrition in gut microbiota modulation, the small intestine and the gut-brain axis.
The event is made possible thanks to the support of Biocodex, Danone and Sanofi.
