WHDH 2014: Gut microbes, importance in health and disease

At the occasion of the World Digestive Health Day (WDHD), on Thursday, May 29, the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) and European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM) produced a short video on the importance of gut microbes in health and disease. It was also backed up by the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO), medical associations, patient organisations and the charity foundation Core.

The WDHD is a annual event celebrated by patients and healthcare professionals to raise awareness of digestive and liver disease. This year is dedicated to gut microbes and their impact on health and diseases.
