Rob Knight, professor at University of Colorado, Boulder, is a pioneer in the study of the human microbiota, the group of bacteria that live in our bodies and help take care of our health. In the talk How our microbes make us who we are, given at a TED Talks conference, Knight analyses the communities of microbes we host in different places in our bodies. Based on studies, illustrations and graphics he explains in an easy-to-understand way the importance for our wellbeing of that fundamental organ called gut microbiota.

Professor Knight has recently published the book Follow your gut, that talks humorously about the important impact of bacteria in the human body. We will soon give you more details of this new publication edited by TED Books.
