Professor of Psychiatry Ted Dinan, from the University College Cork, is one of the world main experts on this link between mental health and our guts. We interviewed him during the 5th Gut Microbiota for Health World Summit 2016, held in Miami in February and we had the opportunity to talk about the gut-brain axis.

Liping Zhao and colleagues, in their recent paper on a dietary intervention for simple and genetic obesity, discussed evidence for the existence of gut microbiota 'guilds': bacterial genomes within the gut ecosystem that responded to the dietary intervention as a group.

Francisco Guarner, director of the Digestive System Research Unit at University Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona (Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron), granted us an interview during the 4th Gut Microbiota for Health World Summit 2015 to discuss the microbiota and humans.
