During the 7th Gut Microbiota for Health World Summit 2018, held in Rome, we had the opportunity to talk to Andrea Hardy, Registered Dietitian from Calgary (Canada), about the role of the dietitians and nutritionists as gut health ambassadors. “I would like to press people to think of gut health as being for everybody,” states Hardy.

In the interview, the dietitian explains that more and more patients are interested in their gut health and how important is to advise them from an interdisciplinary approach.

“I really like to look not only at nutrition factors but also at lifestyle factors, making sure that people include a variety of different foods, focused on prebiotic fiber and probiotics, including fermented foods. I like to challenge people to eat something living every day if they can,” she says at this video interview.
